Sepilok, Kinabatangan & Sandakan Guided Tours
3D2N Package Tour
This 3 Day / 2 Night tour, which starts and ends in Sandakan, commences with a visit to the world-renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, famed for its ability to coach orphaned orangutans on the life skills required to return to the jungle. There’s also an opportunity to visit the adjoining Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre.
After lunch, a two-hour journey overland / by boat will take you to your home for the next two nights: Bilit Lodge. Only accessible by boat, the lodge is comfortable with air-conditioning. From Bilit Lodge, you’ll enjoy three (two evening and one morning) river cruises looking for wildlife in their natural habitat, including orangutans, proboscis monkeys, crocodiles and pygmy elephants. There are also many species of birds to look for, but as with any wildlife environment, sightings depend on your luck; your experienced Tour Guide and the boatman will know the best places to look. There’s also a guided Jungle Walk at Bilit to experience and enjoy.
On Day 3, you’ll return to Sandakan and enjoy lunch and a city tour of what was once Sabah’s capital. Finally, transfer to Sandakan Airport or your Sandakan city area hotel. A super three days and one of our most popular tours, below you can see an itinerary.
