Mount Kinabalu Helicopter Sightseeing Flight: Your Private Charter

Your Private Charter will be departing from / returning to Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) flying with Layang Layang Aerospace. The flight, with your agreement will be scheduled for an early morning departure when there’s the greatest chance of clear weather and accordingly the best views of Mount Kinabalu and surrounding UNESCO World Heritage Kinabalu National Park. You will fly east towards the small town of Kundasang, high in the hills adjacent to Mount Kinabalu that’s the highest town in Malaysia (circa 1500 metres above sea level) and circle around the town to enjoy the views before returning to Kota Kinabalu International Airport in a flight that will be approximately 60 minutes.

Helicopter Charter: RM7200 (maximum 4 passengers)

This private charter flight provides for approximately sixty minutes in the air and up to a maximum of four pax per flight (subject to weight). Children must be at least seven years old to fly.

We will always try to accommodate your preferred date and timing for the flight however if this is not operationally possible we will provide you and your party with alternative options. Our recommendation is that you consider an early to early-morning flight as the light is often at its best for air2ground videos / photos as well as in-cabin pictures including ‘selfies’.

0630 - Welcome and Introduction to your Pilot!

0640 - Safety Briefing

0650 - Captain escorts you to your helicopter

0700 - Airborne!

0800 - Touchdown

0815 - Depart Layang Layang Aerospace

0845 - Return to your hotel

Important Note:

  • Both Blue Kinabalu Travel Agency and Layang Layang Group will require all participants (or guardian if the pax is under 18 years old) to sign a “Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk & Indemnity Agreement” prior to flight.
