Discover Sabah’s Heritage on the Mari Mari Cultural Village Tour
A daily tour from Kota Kinabalu, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Sabah’s rich history, culture and tradition in a fun setting! High in the hills above KK, the village showcases five different ethnic tribes. Their story is brought to life by a knowledgeable tour guide and there is the opportunity to visit traditional houses to witness some of their long-established skills including fire-making using bamboo and making Lihing (rice wine). The session concludes with some ethnic entertainment (music & dancing) followed by a Malay lunch.

0845 – Pick-Up from your Kota Kinabalu hotel/Airbnb (KK city area only)
and transfer to Mari Mari in Cultural Village in Kampung Kionsom
0945 – Arrival Mari Mari Cultural Village and introduction to, and welcome from your Tour Guide
1000 – Tour commences including visits to five traditional houses representing Sabah’s major tribes
1200 – Lunch (Malay Buffet Lunch)
1245 – Depart Mari Mari Cultural Village and return to KK City
1330 – Arrival at your Kota Kinabalu hotel/Airbnb (KK city area only)
