Danum Valley 3D2N Tour Package Sample Itinerary

Day 1 (Lunch & Dinner)

·      9:00 a.m. Pick-Up from Lahad Datu airport / Lahad Datu hotel

·      9:30 a.m. Registration & Check-In at Danum Valley Field Centre (DVFC) Reception n.b. Office adjacent to Lahad Datu Airport at Fajar Centre

·      Transfer from DVFC Office to Danum Valley (will take approximately 3 hours per way on a gravel road)

·      12:30 p.m. Arrival at DVCA and welcome briefing at the Reception counter

·      1:00 p.m. Lunch

·      3:30 p.m. Guided evening walk around the vicinity in search of wildlife

·      5:00 p.m. Tea break at Dining Hall or own leisure time

·      7:00 p.m. Dinner in Dining Hall

·      8:00 p.m. Night Drive in search of nocturnal wildlife

·      Goodnight! Lights off at 11.00 pm (Generator supply from 07:00am to 11:00pm only)

Day 2 (Breakfast, Packed Lunch & Dinner)

·      7:30 a.m. Breakfast in Dining Hall

·      8:30 a.m. Walk to Rhino Pool (Full Loop 4 hours trekking)

·      12:00 p.m. Lunch en route (Packed Lunch)

·      12:30 p.m. Arrival at Centre and rest

·      3:00 p.m. Visit to Old Burial Site/Coffin Trail (1.7KM @ 1 hour from Centre) (Return trip 2 hours)

·      5:00 p.m. Free & Easy/Coffee or Tea Break at Dining Hall

·      7:00 p.m. Dinner in Dining Hall

·      8:00 p.m. Night Walk in search of nocturnal wildlife around the vicinity (maximum one hour)

·      Goodnight! Lights off at 11.00 pm (Generator supply from 07:00am to 11:00pm only)

Day 3 (Breakfast)

·      7:00 a.m. Breakfast

·      8:00 a.m. Guided morning walk

·      10:30 a.m. Check out

·      1:00 p.m. Estimated time of arrival at Lahad Datu town

The pricing details for different room types are as follows:

Superior Deluxe Room:

Weekday rates are RM4025 for single occupancy and RM3260 for twin sharing.

Weekend rates are RM4440 for single occupancy and RM3470 for twin sharing.

Deluxe Resthouse:

Weekday rates are RM3780 for single occupancy and RM3135 for twin sharing.

Weekend rates are RM4190 for single occupancy and RM3350 for twin sharing.

Standard Resthouse:

Weekday rates are RM3620 for single occupancy and RM3050 for twin sharing.

Weekend rates are RM4030 for single occupancy and RM3260 for twin sharing.

Danum Valley Tour Package: Important Information

·      This tour starts/ends in Lahad Datu, either at your Lahad Datu city hotel or Lahad Datu Airport (LDU)

·      If you’re intending to travel from KK to Lahad Datu on the morning of your tour, you should book the first flight of the day which is currently (December 2024) MASWings MH3012 Kota Kinabalu (BKI) – Lahad Datu (LDU) 0720/0815 that operates daily

• This package is based on seat-in-coach basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at additional cost - please get in touch with Blue Kinabalu Travel Agency for cost

• Add-on activity is arranged at the reception of Danum Valley Field Centre, and will be arranged based on weather conditions and may be rearranged to best meet operational situations

• Danum Valley does not guarantee wildlife sightings

• The Danum Valley guide/ranger will have to determine your fitness level before engaging you on a long hike

• Cell phone coverage is available. However, it can sometimes be disrupted due to rain downpour and satellite malfunction

• Electricity is only available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• We strongly advise that you have travel insurance before entering the Danum Valley Conservation Area

• The registration and pick-up point is at the DVFC office in Lahad Datu Town located at the following address (near to Lahad Datu Airport): Danum Valley Field Centre, Block 3, MDLD 3286 Ground Floor, Fajar Centre Lahad Datu, Sabah
